What I've Been Up To?

So it's been a while, but I have been busy! Over the last couple of months I have been doing a few shoots, building my portfolio. The good news is that I got into my first choice university and the bad news is two words STUDENT FINANCE. If only it was an easy fill the form, check my household income and give me the require money - oh that's how it's suppose to be! Well, for me not so smooth.

Anyway, back to the subject - I have been doing some shoots, so is one which I did with two of my closest friends who I met about a year ago and have been working with every weekend ever since. Anyway this was creative directed by Melissa Hodges, Make up by the most amazing Tora Young, modelled by the beautiful Sharlotte Ritchie and photography by Andy. I really enjoyed this shoot and you can see we worked as an amazing team. I will let you see more of my shoots soon!

Behind The Scenes of Finish Line

As you guys know I assisted the amazing Leann Soki Mak on the music video shoot of Yasmin's new single - which is out this week - for her single 'Finish Line'. Here is the Behind The Scenes video of the shoot and basically what I got to see throughout the day. This short clip 3 minutes and 49 seconds doesn't give the day justice and yes it felt like the MTV Behind The Scenes, but more like rather than a twenty five minutes show- I was up at 6 am and went to bed at midnight. Anyway enjoy the video and I wonder if you guys can see me in the video?

Luckily enough I also get to see you before everyone else does in the form of press days. I haven't been to many this season, but I did stop by Robinson Pfeffer for a little press day BBQ and thank goodness I did. I ate sausages to comfort my slightly stalker-ish love for fashion and drown my sorrow with bottles of Kopparberg cider and yes I had all both mixed fruit and pear! Well if I am going to fall in love with fashion I'm going to do it the right way?

LFW Street Style

I have been terribly lazy with not updating, you now have my full attention since I have now finished all my interviews for university bar one course.

Here are my favourite street styles that I shot at London Fashion Week this season. Autumn colours were definitely not out of season yet and the pastels were crossing over to spring. This was my first experience viewing London Fashion Week on the other hand, rather than working on a show I was watching the shows and believe me it has its perks and not so lovely downfalls, like standing in freezing weather!

The video is finally out - as of yesterday, which means I can show you all the backstage, behind the scenes MTV style stuff in the form of digital photography. I have to say it was an amazing experience and is its just like how MTV Making The Video makes it out as, but more hectic, less spacious and a very very long day.

Started with a 6 am alarm clock and finish with a car dropping me at my doorstep at about midnight. Working with Leeann was a lovely learning experience and someone I would love to assist on a more frequent basis. Unlike the horror stories of stylists she gives great advice, passionate about her work and doesn't let out her anger on you - and no stupid requests! In other words a blessing!

Yasmin is an amazing artist, beautiful and not forgetting she is a well known Dj - triple threat!

I have been a naughty blogger and not posted anything for a very long time but I do have some decent excuses - honest ones.

First, I was working as an assistant to stylist and my personal inspiration Leeann Soki Mak, please check out her blog and here too! I worked as her assistant on music artist Yasmin's music video for her single 'Finish Line' directed by Emil Nava. That was about a month or so ago, but unfortunately until the video is out I can't show you any images - as soon as the video is out I will show you guys!

My second excuse is that well as you know if you're a reader to my blog is that I am reapplying to university and litterally been working my rear end off. Of course it wasn't smooth sailing one course decided not to accept applications for this year, which created a wonderful problem. I call it wonderful because know I have found an even better course, sent off my application and now sitting biting my nails and waiting for interviews to commence.

Finally and most excitingly (is that a word ?!) I got a styling job thanks to Leeann for West London Magazine 'The Grove' once again, until it comes out I won't be able to show you any images. If you go on my twitter and follow me there is a little treat of one of the looks I took on the Blackberry.

Enough of the excuses and groveling, promise I will do better.

Happy New Year!! I know it's a week into the new year, and seven days of me being a 22 year old. I have to come to the conclusion I must leave my childish ways behind and become a fully fledged adult that includes eating healthy and giving out wise words. This would work out fine, but at the moment I am sitting here eating what is left of my birthday cake and the only wise words that are coming out my mouth are NOM NOM NOM.

When it comes to organising a photo shoot even I can be honest and say I become slightly excited like a child at Christmas. So I am sure you all heard my screams when I got some of the images from my baby, yes this shoot is my baby. They came out fantastic and I haven't even seen all of them yet!!

Burr It's Cold In Here!

As some of you may know by now, I having taking some time out of education after just under two years of studying at university, found what I love to do which I would like to call 'creative direction' - basically styling, promotion, marketing and lots of other stuff rolled into one.

Within the last year I have had an educational and fashion industry tasting experience working with Eun Jeong. I have learnt what not to do and what to do, the ins and outs, but I have not learnt everything - but I have learnt what I want to do.

I am retaking the journey of applying to university which this time round I am much more prepared for. With this I decided to do a shoot to freshen up my portfolio. I have been doing lots of sketching and illustrations. I am really finding my creative flair again, being more fluid and free with what all my creativeness.

I am planning to create a mini portfolio which i can bring around with me to interviews for internships and universities and other such things which they can keep and make them remember me. Hopefully this will work in my favour.

Anyway, these are a few backstage shots taken by Lara. Our lovely model Sooanne was absolutely amazing, she is so beautiful, sang us lots of songs like a little jukebox and acted like an angel even though it was absolutely freezing and was happy to do a shot in the snow on rooftop!Thank you to Gabi Torres the photographer on this shoot and Audrey for her magic make up hands.

As some of you may know - I am a fan of MTV's 'The City'. I think it is an amazing insight into the world of fashion - okay maybe not the world of fashion, but it is my reality fix. You love Whitney, but can't stand Olivia, yet you love both their fashion styles. Never the less one person you really truly respect is Kelly Cutrone. Originally us reality show lovers met her on the MTV's 'The Hills' way back when Miss LC was still in the show, but that's another story.

Kelly Cutrone has become not just known to those within the fashion industry, but also to those not within and believe me she is truly an amazing woman. She has her own Public Relations company Peoples Revolution and recently her own real reality show "Kell On Earth', as well as being a single mother to her beautiful daughter. A must read for ladies and gents who want an insight into not just fashion, but life, you must read her New York Times best seller 'If You Have To Cry Go Outside: And Other Things Your Mother Never Taught You'. It is a very interesting journey Ms.Cutrone has been on, ups and downs. She has given me inspiration to get off my ass and don't follow the route that society has put me on. Her book has made me think twice about my decisions and why I am doing it. As some of you may known about my small career goal change, her book helped me on with that.

I had the lucky honor to meet her during her short visit to London. She tweeted that she was going to be in London for one day and doing a book signing at Illamasqua, an amazing make up brand which celebrates being different and a statement of self-ownership and self expression. Of course I was down there faster than you know.

She gave a talk of thanks for all coming down and you could tell she really appreciated people coming. The fact that all the books there sold out within 30 minutes tells you something. A surreal experience meeting her, at one point I nearly had to go outside and cry!

Illamasqua are an amazing brand and they put the fun back into make up. As woman (and some men) we forget how fun it is to dress up and being someone or something else for a day, a night or a week. Something that in today's society we have all forgotten, until Halloween comes round. If I had more time I would of love to have a play round in their make up, I may just pop back there soon. Just so you know they are on Beak Street, London W1 just at the end of Carnaby Street.

All in all, girls and guys read this book - you may not like all of it, but you will love some of it, but it will make you think.

I just wanted to make you guys aware that all the proceeds from the event went to the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. In 2007, 20 year old Sophie and her boyfriend were kicked, stamped on and left unconscious for being on thing - looking different. Sadly, Sophie died later due to her injuries.

In tribute to Sophie, her family made ' The Sophie Lancaster Foundation' which helped young people to be aware of the tolerance to violence against uniqueness. Illamasqua have created the Sophie Eye Pencil and Sophie Wristband which is available from their online store. Make a donation guys!

Burrito & Ballet

Forget Friday nights doing the nightclubs, the classiest of ladies hang out at Ballet. No, this isn't some new nightclub called 'Ballet', but really Friday nights at Frame in Shoreditch, where you can dance the night away like you're in the Nutcracker - well you can attempt at least. Frame invited us bloggers for a little dance and a little DIY.

Sadly, I got lost and missed the dance class - maybe a good thing, I may of injured a few girls if I was there. I got there just in time to customise my very own ballet pumps! There were so many trimmings, buttons and beads that really I didn't know where to start. Shini from Park & Cube made a cute couple, and Kit from StyleSlicker made an amazing piece! After all the hard work, I directed the girls to my favourite Brick Lane restaurant, Loco Mojitos, which went down well with all the ladies.

Thank you for Shini of Park & Cube for the invite and to Geneva of A Pair and a Spare, Kit of Style Slicker, Lucy of Snippets of Shiny Thoughts, Carrie of Wish Wish Wish, Andrea and Pip from Robinson Pfeffer and finally Jo from Frame for an amazing Mexican and Ballet filled evening.

Fashion TV x AOFM Fashion Week Party

Last week to end London Fashion Week with a bang, I was invited by the amazing Sandra Cooke to the Fashion TV and Academy of Freelance Make Up (AOFM) Fashion Week Party. I RSVP'ed and invited my sidekick Rachel along with me. The event was also to celebrate F Vodka being launched into the UK and the AOFM book.

We was greeted by some interesting ladies in cirque de fashion costumes and some 'hunky' guys with the AOFM logo painted on them. It was an opportunity to make new contacts and to dance the night away, in the most fashionable way possible - with a glass of champagne in our hand.

A performance for Escala made the night even more special - seriously those girls are really amazing, they make you want to pick up a violin! There was another artist who performed with some interesting song lyrics, but I have forgotten her name - maybe it is best I did.

We made some contacts from Fashion TV, AOFM and other places. Fashion Week is like another world, really for once I felt like just dabbled into the industry. Hopefully one day they will know my name...

Eun Jeong SS 2011

As some of you may know, I am taking this year out from university to kinda re-organise my head, my life and what direction of the fashion industry I want to go into - there's so many options I don't know what direction at the moment.

I've been interning for Eun Jeong for about six months now and this is my second season with her. It has been an interesting, fast-paced and full on educational experience, an education you wouldn't learn in the lecture hall.

I'm not too sure what my position title would be? I usually say Assistant to Eun Jeong and In-House PR. My role consisted of dealing with ticket requests, contacting buyers and sponsors, liaising with her PR reps, interviewing prospective interns, model castings, sorting out details for the presentation - really this list could go on.

Last season Jeong showed at the BFC Tent at Somerset House, this season she decided to do a smaller affair with a presentation. It's like a small version of a fashion show, models stand with garments from the collection on and you get to see the garments much closer. She decided to do a presentation in London this season as she will be showing her collection at Seoul Fashion Week in Korea later this year in a large scale catwalk show.

Shoes by Irregular Choice

This season Eun Jeong took the new direction of digital print, a first for her. She is known for her signature bead and embroidery details and especially for her Spring Summer 2010 'White Reverse' Collection. The collection consisted of nude, pastel rose, purples and lime greens, which she called the colours of summer. Personally, I think this is her best collection. It's fresh, new and exciting , definitely not something people were expecting.

First Look on Alise

My to-do list was amazingly long, sort out hair and make up, contact brands for sponsors and gift bag products, model casting, find a man with a van, contact buyers, send save the date emails, rsvps, contact more buyers, send out tickets, sort out last minute requests, make sure all sponsor products come in time, right up credit sheet, make sure food and drinks come to the venue on time! So as you can see my time was taken up fully, at one point I didn't see my family - even though I live at home with them!

I think Kelly Cutrone and her book saved me a couple of times from actually going crazy and crying!

On the day of the presentation the list of things to do was endless, but with my trustie sidekick Rachel beside me nothing could go wrong! She was a helpful hand and made me not run away and hide. I literally had the guest list in my head, which became quite handy since I didn't have time to re-type the list the night before.

Sandra Cooke, the most amazing make up artist did some fantastic make up - she knows her s*** ! She a feisty Australian young lady and has been a great help, she headed the MAC make up team! Taskashi the hair stylist created a look which just sat perfect with the mood of the collection.

After a long couple of months organising the presentation it was nice to see my work on show - all my hard work, long hours, but it is kinda nice to have just a little bit of my life back!

Cool Kids On The Block

In today's society, children seem to grow up so fast. I may only be 21, and yes I sound like old naggy grandma, but it is completely different to my day. Mobile phones while in primary school were unheard of violence everywhere and I didn't know the difference between manicure and pedicure.

It's not all bad for these youngsters; lucky for them they weren't born in the late 80s and brought up in the 90s. 90s fashion? Platform trainers? Spice Girls Fashion? Not too great. I was on the tube some late summer afternoon on the way back from work, and OH MY three trendy ladies were sitting opposite me. Mum and two daughters, all of them amazing style. You could tell the girls had individual style, one was slightly more shall I say 'All Saint-sy' and on was more 'I am the secret love child of Pharrell Williams'.

They sat there chatting away to mum about what they bought today and how little they bought in the hour many hours they were out shopping. Oh did I forget to tell you that they were aged around 6 and 9? Yeah, exactly. I had to stop and tell mum about their impeccable style, which she smiled and proceeded to tell me where she got the Pharrell's daughters trainers.

Once they got off the train. All I could think is wow, the children of the next generation are going to have such amazing style. I googled fashionable kids, and it seems these two girls weren’t the only ones with swagger like us ( thanks for that M.I.A) My lucky unborn children, mummy will dress you well. Shame, couldn't I be born in the 2000s?

What Took Me So Long?

Sorry for not posting in such a long time. There have been a whirlwind of things going on at the moment. Over the past summer months I have been taken a little time out to see what I really want in life - career wise and personally. My mum (mummy to me) was hospitalised, and she isn't one to be so unwell. It was a shock to not just me, but my whole family. Luckily, she was not in the worse of conditions, but to see someone you care about so much with things attached to them wasn't nice. However she is home now, taking a nice summers rest and recovery and as usual back to her old self.

- Just want to say I love you Mummy and it's good to see that you're home, nagging and all sorts. Thank you to all my friends and family for the support. I love you all!

On to lighter news, as I have posted before I have been steered away from Fashion Design and more into promotion, public relations and styling. I have been honoured with the opportunity of an internship at my previous internship ( hope that wasn't confusing), Eun Jeong. She has a small team which means alot more responsibility - thus a massive education which I have to say you won't learn in the classroom. Sorting out things for the run up for fashion week including invitations, sponsorships, ticket requests and the list could go on. It has given me the chance to know fully what I want to do, and this is it. Will I work with Eun Jeong for the rest of my career? Proberly Not, but she's help me to learn alot about the industry and myself.

There are times where I am fed up like hell, tired and wish there was more time in the day. Then at the end of the day I realise how much I love it. Fashion, is actually what I love.

I have took a break from education, some may say that's wrong, but when you were in my shoes you would know it was a very very difficult decision. I am going back to education to a university I love and wish I never left. My application is in the works and I can't wait to hopefully be walking down the corridors of an amazing university.

Just over a week ago I attending the Grazia and Carnaby Street 20% Evening. You know what that means... MAC, MAC, MAC! Of course it had to clash with another special special day, my three year anniversary. Since my boyfriend is such a great boyfriend ( We went to a safari, how fun!!) he rushed me back so I can buy my MAC essentials.

I met up with my girls Rochaelle from The London Doll and Derya from BloggedyBook nice and early before the long queues around the corner commences. Once we got into the tiny tiny store it was so packed!! We could hardly move, but those MAC girls know how to put on amazing make up.

I decided to buy two lipstick and a blusher, a nice red lipstick and a nude one. I didn't want my red lipstick to be too orange, I personally think it wouldn't look good with my skin tone, so I chose Russian Red. The nude lipstick, Dressmaker, is from their Pret a Papier collection,

Magnolia, Hummingbird to some they are just a two words one for a type of flower the other for a type of bird, to the cupcake obsessed people of the world like myself they are God's gift to our sweet tooth. God has blessed us again, no not with another cupcake bakery, but cake pops.

Cocomata alumae, Clare O'Donnell created this amazing cake balls on sticks with which are making sugar loving tongues and sweet teeth kids all over London go crazy.

These amazing looking sticks of spongy delight are made with fluffy chocolate sponge batter and cream cheese icing, which is then dipped into chocolate - I know amazing and yummy, but it doesn't stop there. Each delightful stick has amazing designs on them which are all hand painted from Brit Pop which has the Union Jack on it to Russian Dolls.

Update time. sorry for leaving you for like a month. I have been busy at my work placement at designer, Eun Jeong. This is my first time doing a placement at an actual studio, and the experience has taught me a few things about my future.

1. I will not be a designer - too much stress, no social life, endless nights, no money plus since I got here I have just been eating rubbish I am sure I have put on weight!

2. I now know what area of fashion I want to go into, finally!

The idea of being a fashion designer to people is the glamourous life, parading into the studio with eight assistants behind you and all you have to do is say yes, no and you're fired. Wake up guys and girls, here is a slap of reality! It's long hours for example 9 am till 9 pm or later. Your whole body aching from bending over, you fight for your eyes to stay open throwing coffee down your throat and constantly eating shit. How's that for being a glamourous designer?

Don't get me wrong, the end product is always worth it and in a few days EJ will be seeing all her hard work and endless nights walking down the catwalk and wowing the crowd. I just don't think it is for me. I have always loved fashion and always will the excitement the glamour the everything! The last month has made me realise design isn't my forte, the creative side, the research yes, but the final garment....well it doesn't come out so good.

Since I have been on placement I have done so much for EJ, organising the model casting, backstage set up, contacting buyers, bloggers and everyone else in between. Calling out my best friend so she can be the model for the hair and make up trial, I could go on. After the chaos, I realised I actually enjoyed it. I love the hustle and busy and sorting everything out just in time.

Another thing I realised, ` this time of year I get bitten by the styling bug, and organise a shoot every year, and yes I have bitten again. Easter holiday it will be organised so watch this space! I finally realised styling and PR is the area of the industry that my heart truly belongs to.

As much as many people think university is the be all and end all, and the decision of leaving is totally wrong. Why waste my money for something my heart isn't in? We only live once right? There is a lot of decisions, that I have to make, hence why I haven't been on here for a while. More information about my placement soon.

In other news it's the start of LONDON FASHION WEEK! Anyone know the best fashion party to go to after the whole week is done?!

The East End Thrift Store

I know I know it's been a while. I have been doing constructive things with my time. Like.... uni work (meh!), and going to work (Anthropologie, crazy busy!)! I haven't forgot my little blog.. I have news for you... lol.

For the East Londoners, aren't we a lucky lot.

I went to my first thrift store in London, The East End Thrift Store, with fellow blogger Rochaelle from The London Doll and a few others. It was amazing... all in the back streets like East London's little secret. No where near anything fashion related believe us. We had to walk down back streets thinking it was a set up, then we saw the light and the clothes dancing at us.

Everything you could think of dresses, jackets, shirts, underwear...everything for both genders, well except no underwear for the men.. poor studs lol.

With cheap wine in hand we went round and round amazed by the quality and prices. I got an amazing navy blazer for £15! Yes you heard me right fifteen quid. Rochaelle went blazer happy and got I think three blazers and a belt.. for about £50. So satisfied with ourselves we had to take a picture, but of course the location is a secret. We can't tell everyone......

Sorry for not updating in such a long time. I have been so caught up with uni and moving into my new place I haven't really had any time. I have two things for you guys anyway just to say sorry for not being there, so please forgive me!

What I have next for you is much more important and I really feel passionate about it. Sweatshops, child exploitation in developing countries because the Western World is asking for so much that they have to. The barrier between rich and poor is stretching further and further.

We love fashion. But the clothes we buy in the UK come at a terrible cost. Millions of workers around the world suffer poverty wages and exploitation, producing cheap fashion for our shops. This can’t go on. We have to demand a fashion industry that respects workers’ rights. Our government must act now to protect the people who make our clothes.

War on Want is leading the biggest ever call for the government to regulate companies and put an end to the exploitation of overseas workers. They are asking people to add their faces, names and voices to our campaign against sweatshops. Their aim is to have 50,000 people join our call for immediate government action. It’s an ambitious goal, but together we can bring an end to sweatshops.

War on Want’s research on the sweatshop conditions facing the workers who make our clothes has made front page news and attracted attention nationwide. Yet in spite of widespread awareness of the issue, it is not always clear what practical steps members of the UK public can take to end sweatshop labour abroad. Asking companies to regulate themselves hasn’t worked. Boycotts have only led to further job losses.

Real change can only be achieved through government regulation that protects the rights of workers supplying UK companies. War on Want is leading the biggest ever call to end the exploitation of workers. We are demanding that the government regulate the business practices of UK retailers to ensure that overseas workers are guaranteed a living wage, decent working conditions and the right to join a trade union. Gordon Brown must commit to government action. This is a big job – change won’t come overnight. But it’s also a necessary one. Together we can end the injustice of sweatshops, and ensure the dignity of workers everywhere.

Many of you may have watched BBC Three documentary Blood, Sweat & T-shirts in May 2008 where six young fashion lovers swap shopping with working in India's cotton fields and clothes factories. Stacey Dooley from that show has gone above and beyond to stop children in sweatshops and factories from being exploited and treated like slaves for less than 50p per day. She has here on show on BBC now, Stacey Investigates, which is available on BBC iPlayer which shows you the worse of the worse and it brought a tear to my eye. Children shouldn't be working like this in 2009, it is time to change.

Please sign up to the petition to let the Prime Minister know we want to know where are clothes are coming from and who is suffering for it? Child labor is wrong and it should be stopped, not just in fashion, but in all industries.

Going through my mail I came across this amazing hotel situated in the best place in London, Spitalfields. It was formally Queen Anne's townhouse built in 1717, but now owned by David Carter, an internationally acclaimed interior designer, check out his website www.alacarter.com.

For many years the property has been one of London's most popular location houses, with it's luxurious backdrop you can't blame anyone?! It a mix of old and new, grand and chic, wit and charm are the words that come to my head.

The two guest bedrooms are now available for anyone in the creative and fashion industries to stay where it's a bit fun and different when they are in London. Prices starting at £65 per night are pretty good especially in this area of London. This is on a bed and breakfast basis, but you are welcome to use the kitchen, but in this part of London there is so much more out there, Brick Lane, Spitalfields, Shoreditch, you should take a look around there!

It really looks like a great place. I'm counting my pennies now.

I finally made something outside of you that is worth wearing. Yesterday was my grandparents 50th Golden Anniversary, yes 50 years. That's right hollywood people can do more than 2 years. I didn't have a clue what to wear?! As I have insufficient funds the only thing I could do is to design and make something myself, on the day. I know talk about last minute, I just didn't have a clue what to make especially with the fabric I had since I only had one particular fabric which I could make something out of, all the rest were scraps.

I cut the pieces out the night before and in between cooking I started to make it! It was literally down to the last minute before leaving that I finished it, as well as altering my black dress, so here it is. Sorry about the blurry pictures, it was a long night.

I feel quite proud of myself! my room mate should be proud of me! I did it from scratch! I have to say it isn't perfect, but for doing in about two hours it isn't bad!

Sorry for not updating a in a while. I have been in the best attire lately since I haven't been anywhere other than home and work. I didn't think my tank and shorts it's-hot-and-I'm-home uniform or my all black work uniform would excite you.

Saying that, I did go out to an exhibition with my fashionista bitch, Derya and her sister Merve ( I love you guys!) If you're in London, before September 27th, then go and see the 'Undercover' Exhibition at the Fashion & Textiles Museum. The exhibition presents a visual demonstration of how female underwear has evolved as a women's role in society changed and encompasses the changing trends from the 'flatten it' to the 'push it up' to the 'let it all hang out'?! It contains some of the most amazing pieces with a wide range of private and public collections from the who's who of underwear such as Marks & Spencers, Triumph, La Perla, Christian Dior, Wonderbra and Myla to name a few.

It goes from risque to the radical, pieces include an original Merry Widow corset inspired by Lana Turner in the film of the same name, renowned burlesque artiste Immodesty Blaize's corset and more.

Please, please go and see it! Let these photos tempt you!

I also finally got to see Coco avant Chanel with my girls and Genevieve (Genebebbe in french!) Amazing of course! Went to see the film in RichMix just at the end of Brick Lane. It's really a cool place to see a film. There is a little bar and cafe aswell with free wifi! Shame a didn't have my mac on me!

Sadly, I didn't take a picture of my outfit, but I will next time.

All my time at home makes me do one thing. Lists. I have a slight addiction to making lists, I know really weird! This is about the 100th time, okay 20th time I have made a list of items I have to buy before I go back to university. THIS IS MY FINAL LIST, I hope.

Recently, I have been so bored with my hair! I actually can't do anything new with it! Dyeing it can not been done since my hair just falls out to this dye it still is! I tried to do cute curls to it, the fluff on my hair isn't long enough. Weave is not applicable in the summer months, I am sorry I don't know how these girls do a full head weave in the summer sun, it's like wearing a wooly hat 24/7! So there is only one other resort, some sort of hair cut with some extensions in!

I've been looking for a while! For some reason my boyfriend and friends seem to think I look like Rihanna, I know...where?! Anyways, at first Rhianna's cuts were practical then everyone started doing the same hair style! I'm sorry I am not a sheep and I don't want to look everyone with short hair!

For ages I have wanted a fringe or bang, whatever you want to call it, but the front of my hair is too short for the heavy bang that I wanted! I would have to get a piece put in the front for a fringe! DISASTER! Visions coming to my head of black girls with hair pieces all silky and beautiful and the the afroness waving out from the sides and the back, and tracks smiling at me right, left and center! I know I will have to pay big money to get none of the above! Now the hair cut! Gosh, the hair cut.

Tao Okamoto, my hair muse. It's a rebellious, modern take on a sixties look. It can look edgy and angelic and I will be able to look after it! I love the fact it cover you eyebrows and is such a blunt cut, plus it means you don't have to do your eyebrows in the morning if you're rushing!

This is a fashion must see! I am so glad there is finally a release date.

I don't want to tell you too much, even though the majority of you will already know the story. It's out in cinemas on July 31st, so get all you fashion lovers out wearing your black and white chanel inspires outfits, pearls and sunglasses (please remember to take them off before the film starts!) and watch what is truly on of the greatest moments in fashion history!

If that isn't enough fashion for you! Keep a look out for documovie 'The September Issue'. Documentary filmmaker R.J. Cutler followed Anna Wintour and her Vogue team for nine months as they put together the 2007 September issue.With seemingly unreal access, Cutler followed Anna and her team to Fashion Weeks around the world, to photo shoots, to visits with designers like Vera Wang andNicolas Ghesquière. But mostly, they were in the Vogue offices. In this two-minute taste of the movie, we see scenes of Anna working in her office with her team.

Until the movies are out we are just going to have to watch the trailers over and over again.

As I said in my previous post, I just got back from my holiday in Tunisia and omg it was amazing. Sun, sun, sun and more sun! Here is one of the outfits I wore during my holiday. I wish I could but all my photographs up so you can see! The food was lovely, I did miss my pork since there wasn't any other there because it is an Islamic country! Thankfully, there was no time difference to London because of Ramadan so no lost sleep! There was so much to do and see that a week just wasn't enough. Jet skiing, paracutes, quad biking and relaxing on a catamaran ( actually that isn't true! It was horrible!) was all we got to do as well as enjoying the beach, pool and local waterpark! Thanks to the boyfriend for taking me on such a wonderful African adventure! Love you so much. So here are a few photographs of my adventure and my outfits!

I really do love martine. Her style and look is really amazing! I only just saw her on chictopia and I am amazed by just one picture. The dress above is a vintage bargain which only cost her $30 damn, I hate the fact that it is vintage because I can't get one! =[

I laugh at this because 89% of the time this is so true. I say 89% because I have been in Topman and nowadays our male counterparts are actually taking longer to shop. My boyfriend since he's been with me takes longer to shop, but not to the extent of the 'female' in this diagram.

Here dress was a cross between Asian and Western dress and her whole family looked amazing.The food was to die for! A friend of mine got me this t-shirt a couple years ago when she went new york, well it was a t-shirt. Since it has been worn and torn I thought I would play on that idea and make it into a cool little crop top. I think I went a little too scissor happy!

This was all due to the heatwave happening in London at the moment. Yes, London is known for it’s rain. but I am telling you the heat is crazy over here! I thought I would pick up the boyfriend at work for a surprise, but he was surprising me by taking me to dinner! Lol, so we decided to meet at his a little later. Gave me time to go shopping at everyones favourite store TOPSHOP! I only shop at the flagship in London, there isn’t really any point going to any other that is where the exclusive, limited edition stuff is at!

I bought this really cute Limted Edition crop top. I have now shopping with a new policy! staple forever on trend items only. In this economic state buying fast fashion is just not worth while in the long run, so I am now going to buy items which are of higher quality and will be of higher price.

I think everyone should save, shop wisely, so they can invest.

That Mendhi

My beautiful friend from college, Hanifa, had her Mendhi on Thursday night. For all those who don't know what a Mendhi is it is actually a henna tattoo, but the whole event is like a hen night, but with a religious link.. well I think it is. Anyway I went our and got an asian suit which I have to say looked amazing. I love the colour, the beading and it fitted perfect!

Hanifa looked amazing and it really did bring a tear to my eye, literally. She is already so beautiful, but on Thursday night she looked like royality. I've known Hanifa since college, we met at the interview and thankfully were put in the same class and we've been friends since. Sadly once she is married she will be moving the US with her new husband and his family, but I hope she will carry on studying fashion. She is a very talented girl, with a heart of gold.

Her house was arabian nights themed and really her family went all out! Rich reds and gold all around this picture really doesn't do it justice. The lanterns were amazing, the rugs and amazing fabrics. I really was in another world. It was nice to see old friends that I haven't seen since college!

Hanifa, I love you and I will be come to San Francisco very soon! The wedding pictures will be up very soon

It's buy Erica Anenberg I am totally in love with it! A friend of mine, Joanne, has a two fingered ring with her name on it which I love love love, but this one I really love. That Mesh Dress

I am totally loving the rebirth of the Mesh right now! I have been thinking about purchasing the American Apparel one for quite some time, but couldn't decide which colour? So I went to my local store, seen as all the reviews said that certain colours just don't look the same as the online images. I thought I would ponder over it and may get my cousins to get it in NY when she goes over there in July.

The suddenly out of nowhere everyone is selling a mess dress! Of course the first the jump on it would be Topshop, then ASOS! I have to say Topshop's stuff is great some cool little stuff, but now I have no clue which one I want?! I really don't have the funds to buy all of them. So help me decide!

AA: great colours, some great new printed ones too, but the price is high, yet I could get it cheaper in NY

Topshop: great prints too and cheaper, but the world and its wife go to Topshop?
